The home has many single rooms with en-suite facilities and offers a range of activities and outdoor spaces. Staff are well trained and attentive. Staffing: There were sufficient staff on duty to meet residents' needs, including nursing and healthcare assistants. The management team works in a supernumerary capacity providing support. Staff training is up to date with high attendance in key areas. Recruitment is ongoing for an activities staff member and a chef.
Activities: A weekly activities programme is in place including reminiscing sessions and balloon activities. Residents engage in reading, music, games, and social conversation. Activities staff interact well with residents.
Food: Meals are prepared on-site with a menu offering choices of starters, mains, and desserts. Lunch is a relaxed and sociable experience. However, breakfast served in bedrooms was sometimes left cold and uneaten, and residents were routinely given plastic mugs without choice, which detracts from the mealtime experience.
Dementia: Residents with dementia and responsive behaviours are supported with person-centred care plans and access to psychiatry of later life. Staff have training in managing responsive behaviours and use validated tools to identify triggers.

Condition 1: Subject to any prohibitions or restrictions contained in any other condition(s), the designated centre shall be operated at all times in accordance with the Statement of Purpose received 08/05/2024 within the footprint of the designated centre on the floor plan dated 15/04/2024. The registered provider shall only provide for the specific care and support needs, and services, within the facilities as set out the Statement of Purpose, as agreed with the Chief Inspector at the time of registration. Any changes to the specific care and support needs and services provided must be agreed in advance with the Chief Inspector. Condition 2: Only persons aged 18 years or older shall be accommodated at the designated centre at any time. Condition 3: The maximum number of persons that may be accommodated at the designated centre is: 66.
